Bishop Joseph A. Chase Jr. Min

     Bishop Joe A. Chase, Jr., is a native of Washington, D.C. He is the only child of the late Joseph A. Chase, Sr. and Elva Mae Chase.  He began his education at St. Joseph’ Military Academy in Delaware.  Bishop Chase received a B.A. degree from Virginia Union University, MMin. from Richmond Virginia Seminary, a ThD. from Norfolk Seminary and currently seeking his DMin. at Regent University. He retired after 20 years of military service in the United States Navy and he is the owner of Faith Broadcasting Company consisting of several radio stations throughout the U.S.A

 

      Bishop Chase was installed as Pastor of Friendship Cathedral Church of God in Christ on February 7, 1998.  Founded Friendship Church-Norfolk March, 2024. He was appointed Bishop of Greater Jamaica where he has 31 churches. Dr. Chase is one of the 15 National Trustees of the C.O.G.I.C. and has held the position of Secretary, former Superintendent of National Properties and member of the Constitutional Committee of the General Assembly.  He currently serves as the secretary of the National Publishing Board, and National Overseer.  Bishop Chase is 2nd Administrative Assistant to Bishop G.W. Hardy, Virginia 4th Jurisdiction, Administrator Assistant of the South Eastern Region, Chairman of the Budget Committee and Founder of the Solid Rock District.  Bishop Chase serves on the Board of Visitors for Virginia State University, Richmond, VA. and has held a seat on the Suffolk Public School System’s Board, appointed to identify gifted and talented students.  He is the 1st elected national president of the Richmond Virginia Seminary Alumni Association.  

 

     Bishop Chase is a visionary and a motivated spiritual leader with the whole-hearted support of the Friendship Family.  Not only has he established a special bond with his members, but with other churches and pastors of various denominations in the Norfolk and Chuckatuck Community as well.

 

     He is a third generation Washingtonian and now lives in Chesapeake, VA with his lovely wife Dr. Katrina Chase and their two sons, Joseph (Jasmyne)  and Justin.  He is serious about his commitment to Christ.  He admits that, “Every time I turn around, God is Blessing me!” which is evident through his Anointing and Christian journey of spreading the gospel and turning the world upside down.  Bishop Chase is best known for his powerful deliverance ministry and making the Book talk.
